About Us

Cara Greenacre is the founder and owner of GreenAcres Equine, where her vision is to provide personalized, horse-centered care that prioritizes the well-being of each animal. She is also an Equine Osteopath (EDO®), the owner of CG Equine Works, and a current veterinary student.

 

With a deep commitment to exceptional science-based care and compassion for the individual being, Cara's dream is to see each horse honored and human-horse relationship cherished.

Cara integrates her various specialties to guide horse and rider on a journey to health, wellness, and performance. The intensive programs that she offers give the horse the opportunity to reboot their whole body and mind, finding a new normal with increased adaptability and vitality. ​

 

Cara started her journey with horses at 7 years old and has not stopped learning since.  She attended a Pre-Veterinary Bachelor’s program with Vet School in mind, but after learning from her own health and her equine partner at the time, she decided a different approach was needed.

 

After searching for years, she found bodywork modalities that work with the natural corrective systems and later, Equine Osteopathy. Cara studied Equine Osteopathy through the Vluggen Institute and passed her boards to become a registered EDO® in 2023.  

 

She has now found her way back to veterinary medicine with a goal of helping the horse on a more profound level that can best be achieved through integration of modalities and collaboration of the various equine care professionals. Cara is due to graduate with her DVM in May of 2027.
